About this winery

Talamonti was founded in 2001 by the Redmont – Di Tonno family, in a magnificent, unspoiled part of the Abruzzi. Our daily objective lies in constantly seeking the best interaction between the varietal in our vineyards, the sun-exposition, the training method, and the desired yield, with the sole desire to best express our unique terroir. Production notes

Select vineyards located near the village of Loreto Aprutino in the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC area. Following a careful selection of the grapes in mid-October, the grape stalks are removed and traditional temperature controlled fermentation on the skins in stainless steel is applied for 10 days with periodic pumping over. The wine is aged for six months in 34hl French oak barrels. The cycle ends with a short bottle rest.

Tasting notes

An intense ruby-red color with violet undertones. Intense bouquet of ripe red fruit. Rich in fruit, lively, elegantly framed by oak spices.

Decanter

Médaille de bronze

2024 (Vintage 2023)

Juicy palate with notes of dried blackberry fruit, grainy tannins and well-judged extraction. Slightly green note to tannins, with a very lengthy finish. Well-made wine for price point!
