About this winery
OUR STORY // Created by two young travelers, Lubanzi is a collaborative social enterprise that values community, partnerships, and taking the path less traveled. Inspired by adventure, our name comes from a wandering dog who accompanied us on a 6 day backpacking trip along South Africa’s coast, and who by some stroke of luck, brought this all to life. OUR WINEMAKING // Our wines hail from South Africa’s rugged and iconic Swartland, a hilly, coastal hub of SA’s offbeat and progressive wine...

Production notes
Planted over 20 years ago, dry farmed on a hilltop of decomposed granite and shale, handpicked, hand sorted and fermented from naturally occurring yeasts - there is no better grape to express the beauty of cape town than chenin like this.
Tasting notes
A nose of lemon peel, wildflowers, wet chalk & freshly shucked, but tered corn. Your palate is greeted by the taste of fresh summer peaches, a poppyseed cake with a lemon drizzle & a touch of straw. A rich, almost surprisingly unoaked wine with a long, creamy finish.
