Production notes

The estate’s only wine to combine ageing in both French and American oak barrels. A wine with excellent ageing potential, it is our most classic expression of Rioja’s flagship grape variety, Tempranillo. Altanza’s finest legacy is our wines, such as this Gran Reserva. It is the time and expertise we have shared; it is our legacy; it is your pleasure.

Tasting notes

Appearance Garnet red with brick-red highlights. Aromas This is a wine of great aromatic complexity. Aromas of candied fruit and primary spices (toasted bread, vanilla) stand out, giving way to more subtle notes that gradually emerge. Palate On the palate, it offers powerful, sweet notes, with good acidity and a lovely balance. Thanks to its supple tannins, it delivers flavours of red fruits, nuanced by the region’s gentle spices.
